COTC/TCM Cover
We can offer COTC/TCM cover, as it is a legal requirement that permitted waste management sites must have a technical competent person to ensure that the site is properly managed, environmental risks are controlled and the site’s operations are compliant with the Site Permit.
Hazardous Waste Transfer
The treatment, movement and storage of hazardous waste poses risks to both people and the environment. It is crucial that all legislation, regulations and permit requirements are followed during this process, as it could cause damage to human health and the environment. Failure to do so, could also lead to unlimited fines and even closure of sites from the EA. Enviro Consults is here to provide any assistance in complying with all legal requirements and the Site Permit.
Risk Assessment
Employers are responsible for ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken within the workplace. Our staff are trained, and technically competent, to identify health and safety hazards and assess the associated risks to allow effective control measures to reduce or eliminate those risks. We can help to create a safe working environment. Which is a duty of all employers under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Climate Risk Assessment
As of April 2024, the Environment Agency is requiring permitted sites to have a Climate Change Risk Assessment. Understanding and preparing for this can be a difficult process and we can help to produce a risk assessment to cover all requirements. Climate resilience is the ability to anticipate, prepare and respond to hazardous events or disturbances related to climate. Further action could be taken in 2026, when the fourth Climate Change Risk Assessment will be published (CCRA4). We can help to prepare and put you in a better position to deal with any new requirements.
Training
With over 30 years’ experience in the UK Waste Management Industry, our staff can offer CIWM (WAMITAB) training from level 1 through to degree level. We have trained candidates from small businesses through to multinational companies, from Local Authorities to HMP Prisons and have trained candidates in different sectors.
Lecturing
Some of the training courses we have delivered have been lecture based with a written exam on completion of the course. These courses have been delivered, both at Local Authorities, and HMO Prisons.
Health and Safety
All businesses are legally responsible for the creation of a safe working environment for their employees. Enviro Consults, can provide a range of health and safety services, from help with Notice of Contravention from the Health and Safety Executive, Environmental Management Systems, to Fire Protection Plans and compiling Risk Assessments. These control measures are a mandatory requirement for most waste management companies.
